I some time ago address'd to the Case of Mr. [How?] a Catalogue of our Garden, which I publish'd by order of the Legislature.  As You make no mention of it, I fear it has not come to hand & have therefore accompanied this by another Copy, that You may see how much it is in your Power to enrich our Collection, by your future Contributions - which I beg leave to sollicit, and shall gratefully acknowledge.  Respecting this failure of the Plants before sent for His Majesty I must beg leave to repeat, that whatever Error I might have been guilty of as to the mode of Package, it was impossible for me to execute the Trust committ'd to me with more Care or more Anxiety - but in spite of every Precaution, I know that Accidents must happen.  I am constantly suffering the same Disappointment, in Plants order'd from​ & sent me from England.  The Pots you mention never came to my Hand, but I shall enquire after them & make the proper Use of them.  I am Sir,
