do it, as you will be sensible my Dear Sir of my disappointment and that I knew nothing to the contrary, until you left Town, of a Naval Commission being intended for me, the same as King holds at the moment.  My appointments are not yet fitted up in the Lady Sinclair, but I hope to begin to send some of the Goods on board next week, & to be ready to get away before the Winter sets in, or when it be otherwise directed.  Ever since I arrived the object of embarking has been my pursuit, and thought to have sail the 1st Instant, but now I expect to have the pleasure of seeing you again.

I hope both you & the Ladies are well, to whom I beg to present my best compliments & to aprise [apprise] you my dear Sir of my affectionate remembrance & regard.
