November 9th
HMAS "Sydney", in an engagement with a German cruiser, the "Emden",  ran the vessel ashore on the Cocos Islands & captured her crew; she also sank the collier in attendance on the "Emden".

November 15th
Arrived at Colombo.

November 17th
Left Colombo - H.AMAS "Sydney'"and "Minotaur" are replaced by two British cruisers.

November 25th
Arrived at Aden.

November 25th
Leave Aden for Suez.

December 1st
Arrived at Suez -  pm  Arrival of Indian Transports.

December 2nd
Leave Suez for Port Said - the Canal defended by English, and Indian Native, Regts.

December 3rd
Arrived at Port Said.
