4 Nov.   Awaked from another "crook spin".   Nice visitor with cigs, etc., Miss Cooper, singer, rich as Croesus but gone on some blank dashed Belgian tenor so I have buckleys blink him.   Can see I'll never be rich.

5   Hush - scandal.   The vicar's wife has just given me an apple and her 68 not out.   I must write a serenade to the dear old girl & praps she'll wrangle me a decent razor which I'll say would just now be useful.    

Looking back think must have been near death or religion to write some of the rot in this book.
