<p class="page" id="a4400008">[Page 8]</p><p>an Indians were in the Hospital in Aden suffering from sun stroke which they received while going to the assistance of the burning village.</p><p>We did on this day and place receive our first issue of ammunition. We were then prepared for action. Lighters drew up along side our boat and we went ashore. We joined the 11th Regiment in the village of Aden and both regiments proceeded on a route march. The sun was terrific, we carried towels for spine protection. However we all returned safely on board. The fortification of Aden is splendid.</p>
