<p class="page" id="a4400056">[Page 56]</p><p>acres of ground &amp; are fenced in with barbed wire.</p><p>Inside this yard is the busiest spot I ever saw in my life, it is cramed with pumps &amp; men. The men are of many different nationalities &amp; lots of different languages are spoken.</p><p>Outside the yard were thousands of phantussips [?] full of water ready for the camel convoys. At Rise Pitt [13th Oct] our Regiment moved out of camp. Our Regiment formed up on top of sand ridge &amp; all the other Regiments did the same so that there were a great mass of mounted troops</p>
