They have many Statues of a monstrous size, they are of one piece of Stone & of a Gigantick Figure for they are 20 & more yards in height, & others of 3 which they have opposite their burying places . -

The Island has no port only a small Cove for a Launch or boats; the greatest length is 6 Leagues, it lyes East & West & it was at this end that the Spaniards raised 3 Crosses upon 3 little simular Hills testifying their taking possession of it in the King's name & therefore named it Sn. Carlos it is situated in 27º. 6' So latitude & 368º. 19' E Long at Tenerife (an error of transcriber for 268º.19' or 91º.41 W at Tenerife = 107º.16 .
