Dear Sir

I have communicated the contents of your last letter thro' Dr Shepherd to Dr Douglas, when I recieve his answer it shall be immediately forwarded to you.

I do not apprehend that tho' Mr Stephens (for the Admiralty) engages that the money for the paper shall be advanced by the office they mean in any shape to concern themselves about procuring it, but wish to leave the whole of that business to yours & my management; therefore I think it very adviseable that during your absence from town you should use all
