Mr. D on the other hand tho he understood the two last propositions in as large an extent as Mr. B did conceivd himself in regard to the first bound only to execute one die compleat, to teach Mr.Boultons engravers all the necessary modes of multiplying this die & to prepare all the apparatus of an expensive nature necessary for striking the edging, he conceived also that Mr. B had some concern with him in a medal of Ld. Heathfield which he undertook in 1787 & possibly in two more one of Mr B & the other of Mr. W.  It is here to be remarkd that the only point on which the principal misunderstanding rests is that for which no specific consideration is ever fixd & it will much behove the contractors to inform themselves of the real value of the Labor & materials necessary to engrave a coin with its edging & whether a Farthing will cost more or less then a halfpenny & to enquire into the truth of the fact of Mr. W having offerd to treat with Mr. D tho he asked at once £4000 being 100,000  Lou.Tour.

it appears impossible the Die for a Farthing can be finished in the remaining part of the two years it must be enquired
