after Delivery, to undergo the following Examination, by the Provost and Moneyers,

1.st ..... The Bag to be opened and if found not to be properly selected, according to the Judgement of the Moneyers, either by containing Counterfeits, or by the Assortment of a proportion of the Heaviest pieces, and of others manifestly too light, then to be rejected, and returned to the party bringing it;

But if the same shall appear to have been properly selected, in such Cases,

2.nd..... The Moneyers to count 275 pieces and weigh them, and if they are found to weigh 5 lb; which is, at the Average of 55 pieces to the lb, the whole Quantity shall be considered to have been fairly and justly selected, and it shall be valued accordingly.

As it may happen, that the Average may not give exactly the result expected from it, and the Bag may, for that reason be liable
