Lizard still digging, He went to the
Lizard's house & cooked all his food
and when had finished he curled
himself round the fire and went to
sleep - After a long time the Lizard came
home, he found the Alligator and tried
to wake him but could not, so he
went on with his cooking
when the Lizard's yams were cooked he
placed them on the Alligator, beginning
at his tail & right up to his head. When
they were cool he ate them up. Then he
tried to wake the Alligator again & this
time he got angry and got a shell
& scooped up the coals from the fire &
threw them on the Alligator. Then
they had a big fight. The Lizard
got hold of a stick & hit the Alligator
on the nose - The Alligator got hold
of the Lizard & gave him a good beating
when he let him go, the Lizard was
