Revesby Abbey

Mr. Hall offerd his mother that if she would Quit the Farm & Inn & give up to him the Furniture Stock of Both &c.

That he could settle £35 a year on her for her Life

Pay her £100 within the first year after she had given up & £100 more in the second year

& Furnish a Room for her

I advised him to give her interest for these sums till he had payd them which would be making her income £45 a year with the Contingency of Leaving one hundred to dispose of if she should survive one year & £200 in case she survives 2 years.

He asked me whether if he Found a proper person to take the inn off his hands I should have any Objection to his Receiving a valuable Consideration for it & Keeping his Farm, I said that I saw no Objection provided I
