he considered the most eligible method to make the Porpoise of use, was to send, the complaining parties to England, as passengers with their witnesses to be tried, & to try each other - to effect which, it became necessary to supercede Capt Short & to appoint the only confirmed Lieut.t there was to Command the Ship in the Captains Absence.  Capt Short refused being superceded by that Officer, or by Capt Blighs Authority.  Capt Bligh sent Capt Johnton of the Buffalo to ensure it - which Capt Short still persisting in refusing with much violent consequence, Capt Bligh ordered Capt Johnston to put Capt Short under an Arrest, with Charge of disobedience of Orders - and as such was sent to England under Captain Bligh's arrest for that Charge.  Short was tried on the Leiut.t & Masters Charges, for which he was not put under an Arrest - and by his hand being delivered to him, & his acquittal of these charges, And no notice being taken of Capt Bligh's arrest & Charges against Short ; is it considered that the whole of Capt Bligh's accusations are unworthy of belief or investigation?   Also, why Release Capt Short from the Arrest he was sent here under, by Capt Bligh his Commanding Officer, without a trial or Investigation.
