Dr Batty tells me that about 2 years ago when it was publicly known that Mr Salisbury wishd to sell his Mill hill concerns he sent for the Dr who found him in custody in a sponging house, that he at that time had pawned all his plate & other valuables & either gave or was desirous of giving up the duplicates of the goods Pawned as part of Payment of the Debt for which he was detaind.
The Dr moreover says that he S- offerd him the concern at Mill hill for 1/3 of the Price he had given for it.
After this very shortly the Rector heard that S- had found out an attorney at London who was somehow connected with his Family & that this new friend had settled the whole of the business which causd S- arrest but in what manner Dr. B. does not at all know.
