My dear Sister
at 11 o'clock quite tired I set down to write merely to tell you that I am well and at the Hague
on Saturday night the wind which for a fortnight at least had been easterly came about to SW as if particularly inclind to favour us on Sunday morn we embark & this morn landed at Helvetsluys from thence to the Bril seven long miles we walked from the brill we came in waggons very little better than English ones & very little nimbler. I can assure you to this place where we arrivd about six o'clock to write anything about the country would be absurd as the whole day has been obscurd by a thick fog but according to the best of my intelligence no two countries were ever so much alike as this & Lincolnshire especialy that part between
