Sorts I must Say I am glad he did not choose to Embark on board the discovery Ships as there is Plenty of people with them to Collect he will do me better Service if he Travels into the parts seen [?] you that have been the Least visited

Flinder's Charts have not arrivd, I Fear the Ship that brought them must have been Lost or have proceeded to America if she was American, it is a great misfortune to the voyage for the success of what has been done has not been so well impressd on the minds of his Friends as would have been had the Charts been forthcoming & his Enemies suspect idleness  on his Part or some other bad Reason for omitting to send them

I am sure Sir Every body here who interest themselves in the success of the Voyage are under much Obligation to you, for the Liberal Protection you have given to Flinders & the bolstering assistance you have given on all occasions to the undertaking, Flinders speaks warmly of your
