If you look into the last Vol of Medl Commentaries of Edinb for 1786 youll see a Letter from Dr Clarke, Jamaica In which he is pleased to christen a plant by the name of Duncanea! And supposes it a new genus. Now youll find this in your Herbarium from W W in 1777 as Carpinoides Capsularis.
