It was thro' Dr F that the elder Linnaeus got my specimens and description somewhere about the year 1775, as youll see in Murrays apparatus medicaminium, Vol 3d p 458.  Hence the arranging it Quassia in the Syst Veg: The few here who are lovers of Botany are vexed with the Society for their neglect, and I must own I am so much dissappointed that I shall not soon lay it before them. If you wish for it I will send it up, to publish in the Trans: or medl Communications as you may deem best. And indeed unless the Engravings are done by a Society the Expence will be heavy.

Proffr Robinson is no better; Dr Walker sends some detach'd papers to Dr Garthshore which youll see; I expect the Vol will be out in a short time when I will forward it directly.

Dr G has the Mss now sent; and to him, youll send your Letter for me. I am with great respect
