Sir

I have received the Jamaica plants you had the goodness to order for His Majesty's Garden, & I will take care to follow your directions respecting them, they shall be kept separate from the other new arrived plants and I hope I shall be able to give you a good account of them when you come to Kew.

It is with infinite pleasure I acquaint you the whole of arrangement as you had proposed to His Majesty in regard to Mr [Metholds?] Grounds is to be executed as you could wish: the upper Garden with the Hot Houses these are allotted to join the Botanic Garden and the lower part with the Peach House and pine [undecipherable] for the Kitchen Garden His M - seemd greatly pleased distributing it so & observed several times he should please you very much by it.

Great plans are talked of about Kew and some removals have already taken place the Prince of Wales's House will immediately be taken down.
