Sir
I have not been inattentive to the success with which the Convicts have been carried out in your vessels & have regarded particularly to the comparative health of those on board the Lady Juliana with the unfortunate crew of the Scarborough &c: nor unmindfull of the care you have always taken of the morals of those persons entrusted to your charge the proof of which are evident in the excellent book of Sermons you were so kind as to send to me you may therefore rest assured that I have always spoken well of you & your mode of managing Convicts & that I shall lose no opportunity that may present itself of recommending you at the Treasury who I fear have upon a late occasion been were too economical in their Contract.
