Naturaliste. Brown seems to have made great discoveries in the Hawkesbury; and is indefatigable in his researches in this place.
Caley has certainly the best method of preserving plants of any I saw; had he the same zeal for Collecting as Brown & his assistant has, he would be invaluable. I shall get Brown to look over his Collection, and as he declines Going on the Investigator should we think that he is not doing justice to you, I shall recommend him to go home in the first Ship but in this I shall be guided by what he has done since the last time I saw his Collection.
