Port Jackson 27th May 1802
Dear Sir
I had the pleasure of receiving your Letter dated 22d June last and am happy that you got every thing safe which was sent by the Buffalo.
All the unpleasant circumstances which occurred since that must be known to you by the arrival of the Albion, the Letters I sent by Lt Grant who Commanded the Lady Nelson, and those lately sent by Lieut McKellar. As he went from Here in an American Ship for Boston it is possible he may not be in London before the Speedy which conveys this.
He is in possession of every circumstance relative to myself. I therefore took the liberty of Introducing him to you, by him I sent three drawings and a few seeds which I hope will be acceptable. I have put in to the Paymasters Box (which goes to Cox & Greenwoods) a tolerable Specimen of the Hibiscus which I mentioned in my last Letter; at present I have nothing else worth sending.
