[Page 2]

I have the pleasure to inform you that before this difference happened, I had made several short excursions to parts of the Country where I never had been before, and have collected many new and beautiful Plants.  I shall send You Specimens by the first direct conveyance.

Caley was with me and I have requested he will revisit those places again in the seed time.  As Mr. Thompson takes his passage in the Naturaliste I have only sent you the accompanying parcel.  I think they are seeds which you have not got.  May I beg my respects to the Ladies Mr. Dryander &c, &c.

I am
Dear Sir
Your most Obedt
Faithful Servant
W. Paterson

The Right Honble
Sir Joseph Banks
