there is a drawing.  No. 6 Earth found in viens throughout the whole Island & also upon the surface, No.7 found in quantitys at Mount Pitt & many other parts of the Island.  No.8 appearance of Dendrites found in the rocks at Cascade, No.9 shelving stratas of Limestone on a hill to the West of Sydney Bay.

Near the shore on the steepest places where there is any soil it is covered with the Flax plant and interpersed with very loafty pines some of them even growing on naked rocks when there is not the smallest appearance of earth. The Pine & Flax plant seem to thrive best where they are exposed to the sea air, the latter indeed is never found in land.
