My Dear Sir,

I have taken an opportunity of shewing  the enclosed Memorandum which you had the goodness to leave with me, to the Earl of Liverpool.

His Lordship thinks that it may be proper to make some alteration in the paragraph which I have marked with pencil, in the first place to omit any notice of the reasons which are supposed to have influenced
