We have every reason to be highly satisfied with our Crops, which have turned out far, very far, beyond my expectation, One Acre has produced 59 Bushells of Maize, this will scarcely be credited, but I can vouch for it being a truth, but this is not the general increase, which may be placed at 40 Bushells on an average. I hope to all be able to procure you a quantity of the pine Cones to send by the first direct conveyance, which this is not; I have a number of Boxes with flax plants, Young pines & many other plants growing, & which will I hope arrive safely in your hemisphere. Since I began this I have been taken very ill tho' now a little recoverd, you will easily imagine how much farm occupied as the relief of the Troops takes place by this ship, & Paterson  is going to Explor the recesses of New South Wales I am with respect & esteem

Dear sir

Your faithfull & Obliged Servant
