No letter from Mr Brown to you has come to my hands but I hear Coll Paterson tells me he has heard from him, And I suppose will give you the Information Mr Brown gives, by which it appears that his Excursion has not been unprofitable to his pursuits I do not hear when he is expected back.
Some weeks ago I visited the Cow pastures I went about 10 miles beyond the Nepean. You have heard many accounts of that Country, but it far, very far exceeded any idea I had formed of it from reports. The Cattle have increased wonderfully but I fear it will be some time before they or any part of them can be brought in here. We have tried various means but they have all failed should you be able to procure us any information on the best mode of getting them it would be [indecipherable]
