The box of stationary from the Navy Office has been on board some days, but the presents I have not yet received.
On receipt of your last letter, I wrote to Mr Ramsay the secretary to the Court of Directors, but have received no answer to it, or any information from the company whatever.
Some few stores that we shall have occasion for from the dockyard, to fill up the deficiency which the expenditure during our stay here has occasioned, cannot be obtained until the order for our sailing arrives; if, therefore, that order was sent a few days previous to the time when I should be expected to sail, it would expedite us somewhat.
I beg leave again to express my hopes, for the honour of seeing you down here, Sir Joseph; and it will give me great pleasure to see Major Rennell accompanying you : his sons clothes are already on board.
We removed out to the great Nore on Thursday last.
