Specimens.  I hope with Hawkins aid to bring my friend Dr Burgess presently of the [indecipherable] Lemmian [?] & Lamian [?] Earth - which I recollect are among his Desiderata. I shall be able to spare Him something too from Duplicates having made a Collection of Grecian Materia Medica in Case any Accident should happen to me & my Drawings & Papers remain safe. I wish them to be deposited in the Oxford Botanica Library as some Proof of at least my wishes to an Institution of which I sollicited the Direction from no other Motives than those which a Passion to indulge in Botanical Pursuits indicated & to this long letter it will find an Excuse In that Indulgence which you give to Scientific Pursuits & believe me to be Dear Sir with the highest Respect & Esteem Yr much obliged faithful friend John Sibthorp
