Years, might be expected, probably, to arise.

          An Information in these Matters would have been the more necessary, that, (considering the Circumstances of my Friends towards furnishing the needfull Supplies,) it might, more clearly have been understood, how fully they were, or not, likely to answer the Demands of the great Enterprize before us.

          For the rest, (under the Guidance of Providence,) the friendly Protection and Countenance of good Mr. Banks would have been a constant support to me thro' the very - probably Difficulties and Dangers of the Voyage;  and his continued Favours, and Recommendation after, a very promising Means of smoothing a Passage for me ----------in the Profession to which my Academic Education has been design'd and directed ----------thro' the remaining Journey
