My Dr Sir,
I return you with a million thanks, the inclosed project for supplying New South Wales with a Circulating Medium.
It is a very curious fact, which could only have arisen in such a place, that Spirituous liquors should be the common standard of property. All our former colonies had their several staples for their standards: The West Indies their Sugar, Virginia & Maryland their Tobacco, and New England its Fish. But, it was reserved for the good people.
