Two Cedar packages - In the one is a piece of a flitch of bacon - Weight 18 pounds.  In the other a great hawk - a smaller do. - a diver - a large owl - a squirrel - a snake - 3 kangaroos - I should have sent you some more skins but upon examining them I found them to be much devoured by the lavae of a fermentis but these that I have sent I am afraid will come to hand in a bad state.

Along with the skins is a bottle of the leaves of Imbricoria [?] camphorate gathered at the same time as those which I sent you before.  I have just had another porcupine. Mr Brown opened it but says it would be of no use to send it, as it would add no farther knowledge than what is already known. It was a young female. She parts of generation were also too far putrified for to admit of a future examination.  They were not impregnated.
