Cape of Good Hope 24 Janr: 1787

Sir,

I have for the first time drawn upon you a bill of twelve Hundred Rix Dollars on account of his Majesty; to be paid to Mr Jacob Wedelaar or, his order. He is a Dutch Sea officer, and intends visiting England & probably will receive the money himself. I shall by the next opportunity send you an accound of my annual expences.
