For your opinion of the dead men having lifted her when she righted I can easily join in opinion with you that all the bodies at Rest would [?] unite in an effort equal to what is their power of lightness compard with water but I must conceive that the greater part of that effort would be made on the most elevated part of the Sloping deck rather than on the lowest where your drawing points by dotted lines what I supposed to be the place where you judgd the effort would be made tho some few might be detaind by the Cross beams under the decks there seems no reason to think that many could hang there while the remainder sliding over them would reach the higher side where the very levity by which they were to act
