Thursday 27th Dec
Plenty of snow and fairly cold. Still awaiting my pass now due so finished packing up and otherwise fixed things up so that I could leave all straight . Am taking across a French bayonet I brought from Cape Helles also a German bayonet, a couple of bombs etc etc. The usual game of Crib. at night, a rubber each night now being quite a habit with me.
Friday 28th Dec
Cold with plenty of snow. Walked to 'Frenck' in order to work off some of my stiffness after the football match. arrived back at 1 P.M. & found that my pass for "blighty" had arrived with that of C. Price: our cry of, "Will they never come" now answered. Heard of a car going to Boulogne so went by that & had tea at the Soldiers Institute there. Could not
