9.9.1916 Gas alarm last night. The Artillery fires furiously when this gas is coming over, to try and disperse it. Drawing remounts today. We are ½ mile from the village of Ouderdom in Belgium. Tonight I went to Reninghelst about 1 ¼ miles from here. The same high price for fruit, Apples 1-30 per lb, grapes 1-50 per lb.
