Tuesday 11
Today when I got to the hosp I was plainly told that the men for the Karoola had left at 6 am.
He had telephoned to the school as soon as he knew but no message had been given to me
As soon as I got back I wrote him a letter to Suez.

Wednesday 12
Work as usual
At dusk sky looks very over-cast & we expect the awful sand winds known as the "Camseen" (phonetic spelling) so called because they continue for a period of 50 days on & off.
