Frid. 22nd
Belgium at 7 a.m.   The whole 9th Bde. on this train.

Sat. 23rd
Marched from Abeele to Watou, a pretty little Belgian town 6K.   Rested through the day.   Received orders to move again tomorrow.

Sun. 24th
Marched from Watou at 9 a.m.   ½ way to Abeele, thence by motor lorries through Steenvorde [also spelt Steenvoorde], Hazebrouck to Wallon Capelle [Wallon Cappel] & marched to billets 3K on, near Cereques [possibly Sercus].   Very heavy fighting
