range, 1 K, 4 W by shell near Canteen Carner.   Enemy planes over our camps at night.

Sun. 17th
Heavy frost, very heavy artillery fire day & night.   Aft. walked to Westhoff Farm Camp, an Australian hospital & rest station, nearby many of our men are buried.

Mon. 18th
At Trois Rois.   Cold & frosty.    Great  air activity & artillery active on both sides.
