as these Tubs which will be very heavy must be very frequently brought upon deck for the benefit of the sun the crew must assist in moving them as indeed they must assits the gardiners on all occasions in which they stand in need of their help
as a [stock?] which cannot be damaged or destroyed lost by some extrordinary misfortune
Besides these half tubs must be provided so deep that the tops of the plants placed in them will not reach to their edges these must be lashed all round the Quarter deck along the [indecipherable] & in every place where can be possibly be found for them & in each of which must have a cover of canvas must be made to fit it which cover it will be the duty of the Gardiner to put on and take off as he judges fitting & no one else must interfere with him in so doing on any account whatever
