for Remittances will become cheaper because fewer will be wanted the Exchanges will be in Favor of our Correspondants & none of them will have any Temptation to make Remittances on Bullion which can only be done in Cases where the exchange is against the Remitter in a greater degree than the expence of Freight & insurence on the Bullion

Bullion will in such a case be dearer in England than it is in the Countries with which it Trades & yet these Countries will have no temptation to Send it while it has so limited a market at the advancd Price which precludes the Possibility of Coining at the Prices for which foreigners can afford to Sell

if this case realy exists how one & only one Remedy Can be applied we must increase the value of Bullion in our Coin by diminishing the weight of our Coin till it becomes Equal to the actual Price at which Bullion for Coinage Can be Obtaind this would not Cause an increase in the value Commodities as is usualy the Consequence of diminishing the weight of Coin because it will be an honest & a fresh Transaction The experience we have
