have evinced my Family and myself.  I wish you & Mrs. Putland every happyness, and I pray for your (indeed I do not doubt it) complete triumph over your enemies - enemies have I said? an enemy is a honorable Character.  Your cowardly defamers, the lawless assassins of every honest, every honorable and every independant principle, may God bless you and protect you.
