Note
Some of the writing in connection with canoes
is extremely indistinct. What apears to be "out
of grey gum" probably means grey gum bark.
The "stick for ditto" probably means a stick, like
a paddle, for propelling a canoe.
Stick, (yam-boo-ra)  is followed by two words
which I cannot decipher though one looks
something like the word "holding". Probably
"Stick for holding canoe".   R.L.D

Mr Hewitt gives "gunyer", a bark shelter as "baggool"
and the same word for a canoe. No doubt both
were constructed of stringy bark. (Pages 12 and 13)
