12-4-17oclock the 1st Bde formed up & came to Goz-El.Taire after travelled for several miles over fine country with plenty of good horse feed growing, passing large camps of infantry & Egyptian Camel Transport Corps, the part these Egyptians have taken in the war on this front is under estimated by most, A large army of Egyptians are constantly on the go keeping up provisions & water to the troops, which would be hard to replace by white men, as they look like ants the numbers working on the railway in the Egyptian Labor Corps There are also a few British West Indies Troops on this front they are ideal soldiers when they are not under fire but they are not worth the tucker they eat in a tight corner; We
