1915June 13 Sun.Spent the afternoon writing letters home in the Y.M.C.A. tent here.Together with Pte. Lumsdaine, who works in the Office, rigged up beds out in the garden close up beside a Statute of some female surrounded by lions or other insects – fine sleeping with the star-lit sky as a canopy in this land of the Pharaohs.In the evening attended service conducted by 2 Y.M.C.A. men.
