1915Aug. 23 Mon.Ray Smith admitted to Hospital to-day with influenza so I had my evening walk alone – My word! My French can do with a tremendous amount of polishing.In Cairo & district at the present time there are 10 Australian Hospitals & Convalescent Depots of which Nos 1 & 2 Generals are the largest. The personnel of the 10 places is 111 Officers, 789 N.C.Os & men & 297 Nursing Sisters.Some Canadian A.M.C. men are now stationed in Egypt.
