On Monday afternoon I visited Lewisham Military Hospital & saw Lex who was up for his first day with his foot still in plaster to prevent it dropping back.

On Tuesday Merrifield shouted Theatre Party to Major Twynam & myself. We met at Australian Officers' Club 138 Picadilly & taxied to Daly's Theatre, "The Maid of the Mountains
