passing this camp. It was important to keep traffic controlled & to Right of the road. The Grenadier Guards came along the middle of the road. "Keep to the Right" Billjim ordered. "We're the Guards."  "Keep to the Right then." "We're the  Guards man; we're the GUARDS."  "Well I don't care if you're the bloody engine drivers you've got to keep to the right." He had his way too.

When the Brig. heard it he remarked "That man ought to be made a Lance Cpl."
