told to report at B - t R - t. Entrained for return journey, but train did not stop until it reached A - s. Had supper at 10p.m at YMCA hut, wrote home & looked for bed in hotel. None obtained so slept on floor of railway truck - not very sweet but very hard & cold. Left A - s at 6am, arrived B - t R - t at 7.30 & joined my Battalion just returned from the lines. We are billeted here for a few days; all agree most uncomfortably. Walked
