Dear Sir
Mr. Young Surgeon in London does me the favr [favour] of presenting this to you with a small Paper Parcell [parcel], containing a specimen of the Lagheto in a full state of fructification, also some seeds which I hope will Vegetate. I have only to remark, that the seeds of Daphne are long in coming up and some authors hint that breaking the Rut is proper but this should be done in the most cautious manner. Should these fail, I have written to a Friend to bend down a bough of the Lace Bark in a Box of Earth, and ship it to you in a growing State.
